Previously, he served as the head of public diplomacy for the President’s Special Envoy to Russia and Ukraine.  Prior to joining the second Trump administration, he helped craft the President’s agenda as a senior fellow with the America First Policy Institute.  Morgan served as the national security advisor to U.S. Senator “Coach” Tommy Tuberville from 2021 to 2023 and the press secretary to the U.S. Secretary of Defense in the first Trump administration, 2020 to 2021. As a captain in the U.S. Navy Reserves, he is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, where he was awarded the Meritorious Defense Service Medal and the Afghan campaign medal, among others.
