Sunday in the City

With all the figurative storm clouds swirling around Washington, DC, it was almost a shock to see the city so bright and lovely. It’s impossible not to appreciate the grandeur of our nation’s capitol building.

Of course, to snap these pictures, I had to break all kinds of traffic rules. Park. Hop out. Run snap the picture. Try to act casual, like I wasn’t trying to blow something up.

Everyone smiled and was patient. Well, almost everyone. Some jerk in a minipod suggested I put my camera away in what I’m sure would be an uncomfortable spot. I told him to kiss my Cadillac.

Also stopped here in Maryland for the weekend to visit my sister and brother-in-law and their precious daughter. As I rolled up their street, my niece was blowing bubbles at the Brougham from the front yard.

Now you know you’re riding on a troublesome air suspension when the first thing you think when you see a little tot blowing bubbles is, Hey, maybe I can borrow some of that bubble water to leak-test my air bladders.
Pitiful. Anyway, I’ve had a very relaxing weekend with Celeste and Daniel. There’s nothing like family!
